Hello!
My name is Tara Kubian. I am an Annandale teacher who loves working with students! I believe that students continue to have learning needs once the school day ends and throughout the summer months. My goal is to help meet those needs.
My services are described in more detail in the Services section.
I will have hours available through Annandale Community Education through the end of the school year, starting the week after Spring Break, which will be provided at a TBD Annandale school location. Check back here for updates!
During the summer months, I will provide services from my home location.

Licensed Teacher in the field of Special Education since 2013. Provided paraprofessional educational support for 6 1/2 years prior to teaching.

2015 - 2023: Special Education Teacher with Annandale Elementary School

2023 - Current: Special Education Teacher with Annandale High School

2024: Completed CORE (Consortium on Reaching Excellence in Education) Online Language and Literacy Academy training. This program is required by the MN Dept. of Education and is founded on the Science of Reading, emphasizing the use and integration of the 5 essential components of reading instruction: phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Experienced with the Barton Reading and Spelling System, Reading Milestones, Reading Mastery, and Mega Words: Decoding, Spelling, and Understanding Multisyllabic Words
